Q&A: Kodac EasyShare C180 file size issue, “How do I make it smaller then 100 Megabytes?”?
Question by : Kodac EasyShare C180 file size issue, “How do I make it smaller then 100 Megabytes?”?
Yes… This is a rather big problem for me at the moment.
I’m using the Easyshare C180 to film a “Lets Play” for Youtube. Due to the requirement of it being live action, I cannot break the video without 10 minutes recorded at a time [the maximum upload limit for Youtube’s general users]
The file size of the camara is rediculously huge, even after reducing the quality of the recording. The file size for the low quality recording is 270 Megabytes at best, which is highly undesirable. Is there anyway to reduce the file size further?
I cannot apply Windows Movie Maker, as the audio cuts off at roughly 2:28, making it impossible to further tamper with the recorded file. Playing back the raw recording is possible on a Quicktime player, or the kodak software… however it always falls apart when aplied to movie maker.
Is there any way, on Windows Vista OS, to reduce the file size of the video so that Windows movie maker may either edit it, or a way to convert the file so that WMM may tamper with it? Or is there a better video editing software for Windows Vista that can deal with the quicktime file’s produced by the C180, and reduce the file size?
