Okay so there is allot of problems (so I hear) with windows Vista. I need a new computer and I’m thinking of going laptop. What I need to know is how much ram and hard drive space do I need? what specs make Vista run better? I’m looking for a computer for a bit of work (online school) and lots of play. My current desktop is running Windows 2000 pro and I want to get an Ipod, I bought one but found my PC wouldn’t run the itunes version I needed for the ipod. I tried winamp but you can’t get the updates for it so I just returned it. I’m not a gamer so I don’t need any of those options on my computer I just want to upgrade to something that will work the newer software and things I want to do on it.
Like buy music from itunes, run an ipod, watch DVDs and movies, do some light work. I’m looking into online schools due to my work shedule so I need some of those options and I would like wifi and go anywhere internet.

I’m in Canada and yes I am thinking of a Dell, I would like a mac but I don’t think I can get financing in Canada for macbooks. I wish I had the cash to buy a mac upfront but I work security and therefore I don’t have allot of money. this is another reason I want a new Laptop I work late nights and long weekend shifts with not much going on so I would like to watch movies and listen to music as well as keep up with facebook without paying to much in text messages plus I keep my journal on my computer so it would save me writing it in a journal and have to transfer it over. Thanks for the advice and keep it comming.

Get a mac book pro…….I runs vista better then most pcs, and it can run mac and pc!
