Q&A: Making a movie but…….?
Question by crazywhiteboy: Making a movie but…….?
I’m going to make a movie but my camera is a bit low end. It cost $ 400 and it’s a canon fs200 but I was reading on movie making website that films should be made in HD.so should I try to save up $ to buy a HD camcorder, or just use mine. It has 40x optimal zoom and it’s 460p. I’m not really sure what the 460p means, I just know 720p is HD.
Thanks for help

At this point all you are doing is learning all the techniques necessary to make a good video.
* a good script
* a storyboard
* a shooting script
* a good crew
* a good editing program and fast computer
HD is NOT something you need when you first start learning how to make videos.
By the time you have all the techniques established, you will have made many videos, each one better than the last.
By the time you have your skills honed to where you want to shoot in Full HD, you will be renting your equipment and have a producer paying all your expenses.
