Question by Marc: Trying to find a historical stock calculator?
Alot of these companies on there investor relations website have a script where you can enter in how much you invested from any date and it would tell you what it would be worth now. But its only for their stock. Anyone know of a script that will check any stock (and tell me what a stock is worth from a certain date after reinvesting dividends, splits etc)? I purchased 100 shares of STI in 1990 and i need to know what it wouldve been worth now if i didnt sell it?
Yahoo Finance does not account for reinvestment of dividends or splits.

Hover your cursor over the chart line in 1990 and I came up with $ 8.50 adjusted share price.
switch to max data http://finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=STI#chart1:symbol=sti;range=my;indicator=volume;charttype=line;crosshair=on;ohlcvalues=0;logscale=off;source=undefined
If you sold in…. 1998 @ $ 78.35 share =821%
If you sold in ….2007 @ $ 89.29 share =950%
If you sold in…..2009 @ $ 14.44 share = 69%
If you held on till today@$ 27.37 share=222%
A perfect example of why “Buy and Hold” is a very costly mistake(no offense)
