Q&A: trying to find information on a website called www.grocerysavingsbook.com?
Question by mother of three: trying to find information on a website called www.grocerysavingsbook.com?
This salesman keeps calling my house and my cellphone trying to sell me a grocery card membership. I can hardly understand his english. I think he may be telemarketing from another country. He sounds like he is reading from a script because when I tell him to “just tell me how much it is and how it works, he goes into this corny sales pitch speech again and starts it out by calling me mam again. So now I;ve been called mam twice, , and he tries to talk around my questions. I want to know if this company is legitament. He says that if I pay $ 25.95 to get started; supposedly this coupon book is $ 49.95 total, then when I go grocery shopping, I just show this card to the grocer and I get 50% off of each item that I purchase, everytime I shop and I get to keep this card. This guy is so persistent. I told him that he would have to speak to my husband about this and he could call him before 3:p.m. the next day because he won’t be here after 3pm. .So the guy calls at 4;45;p.m. the next day. I told him my husband was gone. He says that I said he could call my husband. I said before 3pm. So he calls again to speak to my huysband the next day, and he again calls after 3pm a few hours after. This has happened 3 times now that he calls after 3pm. Why does this guy keep calling after the time I said he could talk to my husband. Now today he called again, trying to sell me this coupon card and he says to look up the website on the internet: It is www.grocerysavingsbook.com I am cautious about buying things over the phone, and especially when it comes from someone who is reading from a script and persistently nags over the phone to buy a product. I mean how can this company afford to let consumers shop with a 50% off all groceries discount card whenever they want and wherever they want all the time . there has to be some kind of scam. Is this a real deal company or not. What do think:? This guy says that once I purchase this card then when I go grocery shoppinhg then all I have to do is show the clerk my card and I automatically get 5o percent off of each item. When I asked this guy how come and who pays the other 50 percent reimbursement to the grocery store, he started with his :” mamm” speach all over again.
I didn’t mean to make this so long, but I just wanted to know if anyone else out there has gotten this phone call and did they buy this coupon book and is it real. or is it a scam?
Thank-you
