Q&A: Twilight Movie not entirely fair…?

Question by cadeyn: Twilight Movie not entirely fair…?
Kristen Stewart’s pretty and a decent actress, but it’s not really fair there weren’t open casting calls. There was probably a handful of undiscovered talent that would make the movie amazing if given the chance.
Channing Tatum or Zac Efron will probably play Edward with the way things are going. Tom Sturridge would be perfect IMO, http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc120/taylor_doll/Edward1.jpg
or maybe others that have no experience. We’ll never know unless they had casting calls. Maybe they did…hmm.
Stephenie hasn’t updated her site in months, then all of a sudden she announces pretty much set in stone that Kristen will play her. I get that she doesn’t have say, but she could probably do something.
Maybe people should send her an online petition/request w/ signatures. Twilight shouldn’t be added to the list of great books being butchered into movies like so many others. Everyone should at least have a chance at trying, instead of wondering what if. What do you think?

It doesn’t really seem very efficient to just let anyone audition because they like the book, even if they have no acting experience.
