Professional film makers from say from hollywood of bollywood or any other industry use what kind of softwares ? I am NOT asking for special movies like Avatar my question is for general movies.
And one more question 🙂 if you can know, what kind of softwares they use for animation movies like ” Up ”

The Majority of Film Studios use a very sophisticated suite of programs from AVID Technologies.

For the Lay Person like us – People have had great success with SONY VEGAS software – especially professional editions. The Consumer version of AVID is Pinnacle.
