I’m doing a video project for school and I have the newest version of Windows Live Movie Maker on my laptop. However, I need to add a voice over to my video as set by the guidelines for the project, and I would also like to speed up a few individual video clips within the project video. Both of these features are not available on Windows Live Movie Maker (unless I simply cannot find them), and I was under the impression that Windows Movie Maker 2.6 had those options.
My question is this: is it possible to convert Windows Live Movie Maker videos into files compatible with Windows Movie Maker 2.6? I would really rather not have to start making the video from scratch again, as it has taken me approximately a week to get it to where it is now.
If it is not possible, then does anyone know another free movie making software that will allow me to upload my video in Windows Live Movie Maker format?
The only other thing I can think to do would be recording the background music along with my voice over on my cell phone, and then e-mailing it to myself to use in the video. I have many doubts about how well of sound quality that solution would produce, though, and so I decided to ask around here to see if there was a more reliable solution.

If you save the video in the best format for computers it will be either an AVI or WMV file which WMM will use easily. You can then import it and edit as wanted.
