Question by Jessica M: Should I buy Sony Vegas Movie Studio 8?
Making youtube videos is my main hobby, but I use a Windows Movie Maker and it doesn’t have enough effects for me. I was searching for a good system to use and I came upon ‘Vegas Movie Studio 8’. I know ‘Sony Vegas 8.0’ is great, but is way too expensive! Can anyone tell me more about ‘Vegas Movie Studio 8’ and if it’s worth buying? Please =)

Vegas Movie Studio is basically just a simplified version of Vegas Pro. It has some limits on the number of tracks, and some features are not included, but it’s a very good video/audio editor for intermediate-level projects.

Here’s a link to a comparison of features. I think at least the Platinum version has more video effects and transitions than Vegas Pro (pros don’t generally use that many transitions).
