I have always used Windows Movie Maker to make my sims 2 videos. I’ve had exactly three computers and used them for every sims 2 video I made. I have a new one and I’ve been making videos for the sims on it and it’s been working, up until recently. Now whenever I try to make any sort of video on Windows Movie Maker or Vegas Pro or any video program it says…
The file C:\Users\Nicole\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Movies\movie090.avi cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again.
Every video file I have is an .Avi file, is that a problem? These clips used to work on my laptop, but maybe I changed something by accident? Anyway the clip is just black when I put it in the Movie Making program. I really need this to work so how can I fix this!? Help please!
I also know that it says I need some sort of codec….Idk?

It seems the lack of corresponding codec. Try to install a comprehensive video codec pack. I suggest K-Lite Mega Codec Pack (free codec)

if still have problem, switch to this free photo slideshow maker. (registration info is included in readmefirst.txt file)
