Elizabeth takes son Sean Anderson to his Uncle Trevor Anderson’s house. He is to stay there for ten days while Eleizabeth is preparing to move to another country. Before leaving, Elizabeth hands over a box to Trevor that belonged to his missing brother, Max. Inside the box are a lot of mementos and a notebook that contains recounts of Max’s last journeys and researches. Sensing an adventure, Trevor follows the directions written in the notebook and goes to Iceland with Sean. There they meet Hannah Ásgeirsson who tells them the story of her relative which is quite parallel to the writings in Trevor’s brother’s notebook. Using the clues that are available to them, the trio decides to go on a journey to see if there is really some truth to what Max and Hannah’s relative has been saying in their works and stories.
