Sony Vegas Pro or Windows Movie maker, which one?
Question by basesareloaded: Sony Vegas Pro or Windows Movie maker, which one?
I am making a photo slideshow with music, transitions, and text for a celebration. which one would be better to use? I have both software, but havent really used Vegas Pro, so dont know much about it’s functionality as I do with Windows Movie Maker. From your experience which one is overall the best software?

Well i’m personally bias and would say Sony Vegas Pro hands down.
Windows Movie Maker to me now is like…well it doesn’t even compare because its so much better.
Functionality Sony Vegas wins, you can create as many tracks as you need, create text and place it anywhere you want, it’s perfectly functional if you know what you are doing. Personally to make a photo slideshow with music Sony Vegas as a program would not be being used to its potential
photo slideshow Not problem with music No problem transitions No problem, and as I said before text would be no problem.
But if you don’t know how to use it…you have a problem and then I would suggest Windows Movie Maker because the simplicity of what you want is actually probably what Windows Movie Maker is for. As for the DVD transfer, I’ve only ever rendered and video from Sony Vegas and put it on a DVD, it was simple if you knew what you were doing and had the right DVD disk.
So in conclusion if you have no idea really how to work Vegas Pro, Don’t do it, but if you do know how to do it, then I would say Vegas Pro wins hands down.
