instead of clicking where the character should go to, the player can hold and drag the mouse to move Guybrush in the desired direction. As with previous Monkey Island adventure games, Tales of Monkey Island is designed to prevent the player from arriving at a dead-end situation, either by the death of the player character or another impasse that would otherwise prevent further progression. Each chapter of the game is estimated to be between two and four hours, depending on the player’s ability to deal with the puzzles. To assist players who struggle with the game’s puzzles, a subtle hint system is also integrated into the game.
