the bible script about possession..?
Question by 〤: the bible script about possession..?
Christians do not have wealth (or do not require it)
In Matthew 6:19-21, Jesus tells his followers to give up on possessions:
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
In Matthew 19:21 Jesus says:
“If you want to be ****perfect****, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
do modern christians sell their possessions and give to the poor??
isnt that confusing>>?? I MEAN IF WE GIVE TO THE POOR AND WE BECOME POOR.
ITS ENDLESS. THE RICH GIVE TO THE POOR… THE POOR BECOMES RICH.. AND THE RICH DOES IT OVER AGAIN.
Who the ***** would do that.?? all physical possession are to be given away to inherit life in heaven ….
and for the substitute method you would give away 10% of your earnings in the offering plate in church ????
a true Christian is a perfect christian.
we cant be humble… by living cheap.. we must give *all* says the bible
sometimes even when he give to the poor the poor does not appreciate the giver. not even by saying a thank you.

I have always taken that to mean, I do not need a house that costs half a million dollars, when there are homeless people who would love to have a $ 50,000 house. And I don’t live a fantastic, luxurious lifestyle. I live within reasonable means, I do give to others. But it would do no good to give my house to a homeless man, and make myself homeless.
And I don’t believe in tithing. I have said this before, so I will try to keep it short and sweet. Tithing was based on a theocratic society. The people paid tithes to the temple, temple workers, and temple maintence. We don’t live in a theocratic state anymore. All functions tithing use to serve, are covered by taxes.
We can not take the Bible literally.
