ok i love horror movies and im wondering if anybody here knows how to get into the film making business or even better is in it and has some tips for me
my dream is to either be a horror movie writer and director or a video game designer
i am especially interested in zombie movies as i love the premise of an apocalyptic event spread easily with a danger that couldn’t be contained and actually seeks out it’s victims
i have even come up with a totally original way for the outbreak to start out:
first a band is playing a concert and the guitarist messes up and plays a wrong note this note is completely new and awakens our primal desire to feed and deactivates everything except the need to feed which then puts us in a state of basically being dead making anyone infected decompose at the same time the feeding only to survive the infected part of the brain also makes our body produce a chemical that infects other peoples brains turning them into zombies too when they are bitten and it enters their bloodstream
im only fourteen but i have already started writing the script im about 15 minutes into the movie so far
if anyone knows anything that could help me i would be greatly appreciative

From the movie aspect…
First of all, keep writing, and don’t be afraid to ask for help from a teacher or someone who’s very knowledgeable. My Film teacher has had a lot of experience with writing and has helped me a lot with my writing. Second, take some sort of Film course if it’s available to you. It can be extremely helpful in looking not only at what’s involved in making a movie, but the importance of the different roles in a movie (director, actors, screenwriter, etc.). Third, study up! Do some research, and find out what’s involved with the job you want. Make sure it’s what you really want to do.
