Three – Alternative Grade – A short film to test the Canon 550D/T2i

This is an alternative colour graded version of the film as the first version was over exposed in post a bit too much! Rather than do the usual tests involving shallow depth of field and flowers, we decided to test my new camera by making a short film. Written & shot in one day using the Canon 550D with kit 18-55mm lens. So what did we learn? The camera is excellent and there is no reason to doubt it’s capabilities, even with the rather slow kit lens, we were able to get some nice shots with only natural lighting. Rolling shutter is rather harsh, so that limits what can be done. Sound needs syncing slightly with the video when using an external mic. Check out the website @ www.derkoi.co.uk
