Trading up: a Needle for a Dragon battleaxe (RuneScape Machinima Competition)

*All trades in this video were legitimate, so thanks to everyone who was willing to participate* 🙂 This is an idea I’ve had for quite some time now, that I decided to turn into a video for the RuneScape machinima competition. It’s based off the real life story of someone who “traded up” a red paper-clip for a house. I thought it would be fun to try the same sort of thing in RuneScape. Now, a little bit about the making of this video: It took around 6 hours to conduct all the trades you see in the video. As time progressed and the items became more valuable, it became increasingly harder to find someone willing to trade. As you may have noticed, some players did indeed trade me twice, so a special thanks to them is in order. 🙂 I was impressed so many players were willing to help me turn my needle into what turned out to be a Dragon battleaxe. I traded with low levels, high levels, rich players, poorer ones, and met some very nice people along the way. I also didn’t advertise I was making a movie when asking others to trade, so they helped without simply wanting to be in a video. I hope you enjoyed the movie; it was an excellent experience and quite fun to make. It’s been mentioned that a few seconds over the two minute limit is alright, I just hope 20 seconds or so isn’t considered excessive. 😉
