Trying To Figure Out My Computer’s RAM Cards…?
Question by Andrew: Trying To Figure Out My Computer’s RAM Cards…?
I’ve got a Dell Dimension DIM3000 with 512 MB of RAM, and I realized earlier this week that I need to upgrade the memory if I want to play with all my new digital toys, as my new movie making software requires 2 GB. Does who has this computer mind telling me what cards it has in it, so I don’t have to go through the hassle of opening it up?

If you download a free utility called BelArc, it runs a scan of your computer and then lists everything (brand name, size, etc.) of all your hardware.
It is called Bel Arc advisor and I always download it when I am messing with a used computer that needs upgrade what ever. It tells me everything thats in there.
Your computer processor may not be able to handle 2 GB of RAM. You need to know whats inside your computer so break down and bust it open and see what you have and then you will be in a position to see what you can get.
