House-sitting in the UK and only been here a few weeks.
Daily–sometimes twice daily–calls saying they want to confirm I have Sky TV. Won’t tell me why they are calling, don’t give name of householder, just say they want to confirm that this house has Sky & they are not selling anything.
If I ask a question, the person just repeats their script, I am assuming they read a script?
Why are they doing this? I can’t see the purpose of their calls.

Probably just confirming that it’s an active number to sell it to other companies. Screen them out.
