Using EMXP and the EMuSer with an Emulator II and an Emax
Here’s a demo of EMXP using the EMuSer USB-RS422 adapter, connected to an Emulator II sampler and an Emax sampler. The EMuSer adapter allows for high speed synchonous data communication with vintage sampler Emu samplers. The device uses a Teensy board containing an Atmel AVR processor. The firmware is based on the LUFA library. The EMXP software for Windows XP (or higher) can use this device and currently supports: – Bank transfers with the Emulator II (unload and upload) – Bank transfers with the Emax-I (compressed 512K banks only, unload and upload) – Sample transfers with the Emax-I and Emax-II (unload and upload) For more information: www.emxp.net Many thanks and credits to: – Julian Higginson, who made the very first prototype of an AVR based USB-RS422 adapter – PJRC (www.pjrc.com) for making available the great Teensy boards – Dean Camera (www.fourwalledcubicle.com) for making available the LUFA library
In this video I give you my recommendations for some good free screen recording software. Hopefully this will help you kick off your YouTube career on a good note. When recording make sure you use “Autoscroll” and have the recording dimensions set to 640×360 when exporting. Camstudio (Download + Lossless codec) camstudio.org Make sure you use the lossless codec and have autopan enabled, and reocrd using a fixed resolution of 640×360, this will make sure you have extermly high quality settings for YouTube. Without losing quality. ScreenToaster(Online screen recorder, no downloading) www.screentoaster.com Don’t worry about HD settings, when it uploads to YouTube, the HD settings are automatically applied. Techsmith Jing www.jingproject.com I have to say, this might not be your best bet for making screen casts, it doesn’t have a feature where you can export into a differnt format, and also there are no HD settings. And since it records using the same method as camtasia, it might make Vista/7 a little sluggish while recording. I have chosen not to incude the link to Zdsoft as it is no longer free, if you want it then do a google search for it. But to be honest it’s not even that good, it’s really laggy when recording, the quality is rubbish, and the audio quality is terrible. I used to …
