Video Game Reviews – Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition Review (Bad PC Port)

The Game: www.amazon.com This is a PC port of the original console versions. While the port has some new content, like new enemies and equipment pieces, it suffers greatly because of frame rate (locked at 30 fps and low resolution without patches) and control issues. Controlling the game with a keyboard will also screws up your camera, making it all jerky and weird (think Gex Enter the Gecko), it’s almost like the camera wasn’t tested with the keyboard. It’s an inferior version of the Xbox 360 and PS3 games so I would not recommend it over those two. All the new content is also coming to the console version in a month or two so waiting for that is the best option in my opinion. Why listen to me over bigger reviewing organizations like IGN, gamespot, G4, or gametrailers? Well, I don’t just review games from the eyes of a technical, professional reviewer. I also review games from the perspective of an actual gamer.
