Here’s part one of my creating a software RAID volume on the Video NAS that I am setting up. As the official FreeNAS instructions are rather outdated (for version 0.69), I decided to make this a somewhat instructional video. Hopefully you will find it helpful. Leave a comment if you have questions. Now for the part where I see just how many people do as they should and expand the descriptions to read them, with a typical bad pun: “Want to RAID on your own NAS?” (Before you start giving me those kind of weird looks, the explanation can be found here: www.pmaco.com – it’s a riff on the “Advertisement for donkey rides in Thailand” sign.)
