Bradley Cooper plays the leading man in the movie, but most of the best scenes include comments from Zach Galifianakis, an unexpected star in this movie.
3. Up – Pixar’s latest movie is about an elderly man who attached balloons to his house to fly away. The previews make you believe the movie could be a comedy, but it is actually very sad. It is a powerful love story that adds some humor during the journey of the elderly man and a young boy.
4. Inglorious Basterds – Quentin Tarantino brings humor to the very sad story of Nazi Germany. The movie is entertaining and hilarious as the boys from America go on a Nazi killing
spree through Germany. Tarantino makes killing seem like a new sports game over in Germany. It’s not a movie for children to watch, but it is a glorious film to say the least.
5. Avatar – This is a movie that should absolutely be watched in high definition. You can enjoy the beautiful colors and action of the movie without a HD TV, but if you do have one you’ll be thankful during this long 3D flick. It took James Cameron 12 years to make this movie and you’ll understand why when you watch it.
6. Precious – This is a powerful movie where Mo’Nique’s acting skills are truly displayed. It is based on the novel “Push” by Sapphire. It is set in Harlem with an illiterate teenager who is now pregnant with her second child. Her life is changed drastically and you’ll feel a flood of different emotions as you watch it happen.

Star Trek – Many people believed it wouldn’t be possible to reinvent Star Trek and make it work. However, J.J. Abrams delivered with this action-packed film featuring a great cast, including Chris Pine as the new Kirk.
8. (500) Days of Summer – This movie alone will make owning satellite TV worth the money. It’s a touching movie about love that will make you laugh, make you cry and then make you understand that everything happens for a reason.
