We have better technology, why do so many contemporary movies pale in comparison to older ones?
Question by Poetic D: We have better technology, why do so many contemporary movies pale in comparison to older ones?
I recently saw a re-make of the classic “Fox and the Hound”
cartoon movie, and it was pure garbage compared to the original.
Today, we have better technology, and are able to do more things and go to more places when it comes to making a movie, yet the movies are either over-the-top, heavy handed moral preaching, or in-your-face LOUD explosions.
It doesn’t make sense.

They are merely giving people more of what they’ve been paying for. People have to stop going to garbage so they can start changing Disney/Pixar’s mind, along with the others.
If people pour money into the theaters, we’ll continue getting awful movies among the very good ones. Now, children think the plastic-looking, stupid animals are good, and they might grow up foisting that on their children.
You change movies by staying away from the lousy ones. Most go because their friends went. Then, they buy the DVD! The bad stuff has to be starved.
Way back, Baby Boomers and the WWII generation said, “If the Lone Ranger (Clayton Moore) can’t wear his mask, keep your lousy movie!” Guess what? The movie bombed! Boycotts do work!
So, stop going to those mindless, senseless, over-the-top, etc., types of movies you object to. Maybe others will, too. You’ll save a lot of money AND time you would have spent on a worthless experience.
