What are some good themes for a home movie?

Question by Josh of ’95: What are some good themes for a home movie?
My friend and I are planning to make a home movie over the summer. We have a professional canon movie camera and sony vegas pro 8 but we can’t use them for anything! We can spend up to $ 10-maybe $ 20(I know that’s cheap but were only 12 and 13). What are some good themes? Like what is a good story to make into a movie????? Thanks in advance for the help.

I would suggest doing something like a comedy. Or you could mix it up. Have one part of the movie to be funny, one part be a drama, one part be a mystery, ect. If you have different themes, it will keep your future audience interested, and that’s what all good directors and script writers want. Also, you could re-enact movie that have already been created. Those are always fun to watch!
