Question by markwillstar: What are some movies that were important steps in movie making but were forgotten ?
I love seeing people say “This is the most amazing movie”
but yet their talking of a movie usualy that probably was made over night.
TRON is a good example. It was made 100% by computers on a black back ground. But yet even though its very famous and a milestone, most people forget it.
Makes me wonder how the world will take TR2N

“Sky Captain & the World of Tomorrow” (2004) was shot against blue screen, with everything except the main characters computer-generated. This was one of several movies to take that approach~although which was first is debatable, including: “Immortel (Ad Vitam)” (2004), “Casshern” (2004), and “Sin City” (2005), the last of which was shot on High-Definition digital cameras, like “Sky Captain”.

“Becky Sharp” (1935), starring Miriam Hopkins, is the first movie filmed in Technicolor (three-color system). Sadly, it isn’t aired often and seems to be ignored though no one should miss Hopkins’ amazing performance of this sharp-tongued, tarnished heroine.
