Question by : What do I need to make a short movie?
I am looking for a DECENT (can’t afford the better ones) camera to make a movie with some friends (and strangers). It, obviously, will be a zombie movie. Now, my budget for the camera goes up to $ 200, because I still have other things to buy (costumes, props, etc.)
Should I get a video camera, camcorder, or what? Please link. Whoever gives me a great answer, I will forever be in your debt.

Believe it or not handycams are pretty good quality cameras and really easy to use. They are slightly pricier but in my opinion, it’s worth it. 🙂
Now I have some techniques on making some set-ups and you can compare my ideas to a regular set-up. I’m going to guess there might be a graveyard scene so if you have that, you can just use strofoam and carve it to gravestones and spraypaint them and paint the words on there. You can grab a bunch of leaves from outside and put it by the grave yards, grab a fog machine and spout it out in different areas and there you go!
The makeup, you can find in regular Halloween stores that might be around or you can go in your girlfriend’s purse and find regular makeup and you can use that 😉
Editing softwares (if you have a mac) Can use iMovie and it’ll be all good, but if you want a little bit more coolness you can use Final Cut Express. I can’t say much about a PC though :/
