Question by Jake: What do you think of the movie “Contact”?
I think that it raises some excellent points reguarding atheism an religion. We can’t prove the existence of God with science, this is true; but we also can’t provide satisfactory scientific explanations for everyday phenomena that we have all experienced. Science can not explain what makes you, you and me, me.

I think an excellent quote from the movie was:

Palmer: Did you love your father?
Dr. Arrowary: Yes, of course I loved my father.
Palmer: Prove it.

Dumb. The book was better. It has Dr. Arrowary discovering a message in Pi which converts the entire world into a believer.
