I need a good video editing software that has very crisp text-on-slide format and that can also incorporate pictures very smoothly and that can make videos to upload on YouTube, very education like, like Final Cut Pro, but for the PC. I am pretty computer smart, so no need to pick overly simple software. But, I’m open to any ideas. (Let’s rule out Windows Movie Maker. I don’t like their boring generic text-on-slides and choppy and boring images inclusion.)
Here are the ones I am considering so you don’t have to tell me these: Corel VideoStudio, Sony Vegas but please, if you want to suggest these, go ahead, but include details about why the software is good.

Thanks for your suggestion, Tim, I will definitely keep that on my list. PowerDirector looks like a great program for my needs.
All great Glenn, but I left this detail out: I need a program that has a small learning curve. Adobe usually needs a long time to get used to it. A software that I could figure out within an hour. I guess I threw you off with “not too overly simple” sorry!
Avid Express is a good candidate.

I’ve been using CyberLink PowerDirector and it’s really easy/fun to use. It’s like iMovie or w/e for Macs, in ease of use, but isn’t kiddy software. On the other-hand, if you want to get some really serious video editing software, check out Adobe After-Effects. It can do whatever you want. You just need to learn how to use it.
