Every time I try to upload, or update a story, an error will pop up saying, “type 2 error, for help please report any problems to…” blah blah blah. Its making me really angry. Its been like this for almost two in a half weeks now. I’ve emailed the support team twice already, with very detailed e-mails. But of course they haven’t even responded or fixed the stupid problem. I really wanted to update two of my stories, but I haven’t been able to. So I’m just wondering if anybody knows what the hell is going on. I checked on a forum and apparently I’m not the only one with this problem. Somebody posted something about a bypass to get around it, but it didn’t work for me. I can’t even preview my stories. However, the bypass worked for some people, but of course, not for me. And also, apparently the type 2 error message only pops up when you post a story for a popular TV show or movie. Like I said, I am getting very annoyed, and if anybody knows anything about this, or how to really bypass it and fix it, please tell me. I also need to know if the stoops down at fanfiction.net knows anything about it, and has done anything about it. By the way, I did recheck the whole guideline thing was checked off. It is.

I know exactly how you feel. I really wish they would let us know if they are working on it or not. I know away around the error though. Have you tried this? Do want you normally do to add/edit a story and when the error pops up, go to the URL and change “property” to “content” and it should work! This is the only way I know to edit and add stories. If you want to preview your stories go through story stats and it works!
