These are the minimums if you wish to produce videos that will be released as 35 mm theatrical prints.
If your goal includes producing boutique music videos for rising talent, then something like the Panasonic AG-HMC80 can certainly shoot the raw footage and then you can use a program like Adobe Premiere to do the editing.
The major problem you may encounter is finding a notebook computer with enough RAM and a large enough hard drive space to edit a full movie. Until USB 3.0 becomes standardized, working off an external drive will be your bottleneck when it comes to doing any real time video editing
