At the beginning of the movie, Chilly Palmer (John Travolta) is talking with someone who wants to make a movie with him. A car pulls up and a member from the Russian mafia steps out and fires several rounds from a massive pistol, and shoots the guy along with the restaurant and Chilly’s Cadillac. If you have seen the movie, do you know what kind of gun it was? And if you haven’t, Ill describe it as best as I can.
It was a BIG pistol, and it sounded like a cannon. It seemed to have a lot of recoil as the russian mobster looked like he was having trouble keeping it steady with one hand aiming and firing and another hand holding his wig down. I think the magazine held seven or eight rounds, but I really am not sure. Its probably Russian, and its probably not very popular among common gun owners.
I want to know not because Im going to attack the Pentagon, but because Im writing a book and this gun is perfect for one of the villains in my story. Thanks for the help.
Well I feel stupid, an M1 pistol is as American as apple pie, and its not very big at all. I guess it goes to show movies can distort the image of anything.
