This is a vague description but I just remember that it was set in a dark room with little dialogue. It cost like 7k/7,000 to make. It’s a cult sort of film.

It’s not a dark room but it’s rooms in a cube, although they only use one room over and over and just change the lighting. If that sounds right it’s the movie “Cube”. An indie Canadian film that has quite a strong cult following, great movie, they sequels are not as good.
