I want to start filming short movies for my YouTube channel. I’m pretty new at this so I don’t really know what it is I need exactly. The videos I am wanting to make include the basics of video and sound editing, effects, ect. I need a software that also will allow me to film an actor in a scene doing one thing, then film the same actor in the same scene but doing something else. Then combine the two scenes and make the actor appear twice in one scene. Does anybody know what that’s called btw? So yeah, what software do I need and what other features are on them? And any movie making tips? Thanks so much.

windows and mac both come with excellent movie making products. if your just barely getting started i recommend those.
