Question by Esma: What was the title of the movie about the cop, the waitress, and the winning lottery ticket?
In the movie I am thinking of, a cop goes into a diner and doesn’t have the case to tip the waitress. She gets annoyed, so he promises her that if his lottery ticket wins, he will split the winnings with her. If not, he will return with a tip. The lottery ticket DOES win and he splits the money with her. Of course, a friendship (and I believe a relationship) occur later on.

I’m making a reference to it in a paper I am writing (a critique of a play with a similar plot), and I have completely blanked on the title!
