Question by Isabella: What’s the best type of camera/camcorder for shooting a film ?
I’m only 14 so i’m on a VERY tight budget,all I have to spend is about 250$ . I’m trying to make a Horror film and need something with good picture. Also, I wouldn’t mind a few tips on how to make a movie.This is going to be a summer project just to see if i’d actually want to pursuit a career in film making.

Do not go HD. Consumer level HD camcorders are no good at action flicks. It would cost you in excess of $ 3500 to get a HD camcorder that could produce anything near the Quality Video a $ 250 MiniDV tape camcorder produces.

I used the words ‘how to make a horror film’ in my search engine to find the above 3 or 4 links.

You can get a Canon ZR 930 for about $ 300, this is good camera to shoot a movie with.
