ok so im looking for a new camera because the one i have now is getting old and its not working as well as it use to so what would you say is the best(and cheap please!) camera? please don’t tell me to get a flip because that is the camera im trying to replace also me and my cousins are going to be making a little movie with our friends so it would be great if it had a little light built into the camera! and if you have any tips for making a movie(its a little horror movie) that would be good! and any good editing stuff(not sure what to call it) that would be great to! thanks!!

You could go for a cheap panasonic/samsung hd video cam.These record in nealry full hd but can have a lower frame rate.They also show a lot of sensitivity to lighting conditions and do’nt like any rapid movement.If you hang around till early summer then you may get something like a panasonic full hd sd20 for about 250 .It’s worth the extra for the far more sophisticated electronics and face recongnition as well as superior visual performance.I think cheaper hard drive cameras are a liability as the drives are sensitive to vibration.Dont bother with dvd cameras as the messing about to transfer to computer can be tedious.Memory cards are the biz because of cheaper prices and higher data transfer speeds but remember that you need a dual core computer to process high definition.Another alternative is a second hand video tape camera, it’s a bit messy for editing and transfering to computer but the visual quality id superior to many sub 400 cameras, down points for tape cameras are ….sensitive to moisture …..unreliable or worn tape mechanisms
