I have a Panasonic camcorder with mini DVD format that I transfer the raw video to PC via Firewire. There is a software package I have used that came withit, but am wondering what is better for a reasonable price.

For editing videos from the mini-DVD disc, the choice is much more limited than for mini-DV (tape).

These video editors do not re-encode (thus further degrading) the mpeg videos. Free trial versions are available for download at the respective websites.
