The movie takes place during WWI.In the movie a family of 3 is placed in different parts of the concentration camp.The mother is sent with the other women & the father and son are still together in another part of the camp.I also remember that the father makes living in the concentration camp a game for the boy.Towards the end of the movie the father is killed by the soldiers.I think the boy is then reunited with his mother.I’m not too sure about that last part though.
