When I need to have two floors in an area on the sims 2 I can only see the objects that are placed on the floor above. Does anyone know how to fix this? Because I need it for movie making. It seems like the objects disappear – even when I’m not in build mode.

This happened to me before I got a new graphics card. Once I got a new card the problem was solved. So it could be that it’s something to do with your card, or it could be something in the game’s graphics settings, (because when I got my new card I was able for the first time to put all my graphics options on high settings.) Have a fiddle around with the graphics options and see if you can fix it from there. I’d try myself except I’m at work at the moment and don’t have my game.
You can also try using one of these cheats if you have no joy with the graphics options:
boolprop renderSelectedSimLevel false (when Sim is on top floor, other floors are visible)
