im a huge movie fan of all genres but have yet to find a dragon movie worth its weight, Reign of fire was ok but those werent actually dragons, they were Wyverns, a dragon like creature (im talking american style dragons with 4 stout legs and the creatures from fantasy every dnd nerd/geek has dreamed of.
so when might we see a movie centered around dragons that involve all the fantasy creatures we love, griffons, pegasus, dragons, elves, orcs, trolls, ogres, dwarves and leave humans at the bottom of the barrel? enjoyed the idea of Eragon but it was poorly represented on screen in the first one.
how bout a big budget 3 part epic involving evil and good factions colliding in the ever climatic end war to decide that realms fate, having good dragons allied with the “goodie” races vs. evil dragons and races with dragons being the most ancient and wisest of all creatures of the realm. no they dont speak english, they are dragons one would have to know dragon language (roars, rumbles and variations there of) or be connected to them by sharing a soul with one or whatever (something similar to the eragon idea) and actually see epic fights with magic and the like instead of ohh that wizard casted a spell one time ohhh ahhh and actually make them look like epic fights? ( i can offer direction in that aspect if so desired ) dragons might be one of the most popular legends in the world and they have made nothing but sub par movies involving them, i like them so much i still bought a copy of Eragon cause i loved the cgi work they did on the dragon. of course i think there should be many types of dragons with different scales, different wing types, spines, and horn patterns ( more than happy to offer insight ).
please hollywood i know im not the only one thats tired of pillow fighting dragons in movies and with the current cgi tech i dont see why it hasnt happend yet. guess they are to busy making more bad superhero movies /sigh. lets blow LoTR, Avatar, and the rest out of the water with a real fantasy trilogy. (avatar had a bit of sci-fi i know, but i would consider it as much fantasy as anything else)
anymore dragon lovers out there agree its bout time maybe the most popular legend throughout mans history gets its just deserves? cmon Peter Jackson you have a high fantasy eye or James (cameron) i know you guys can do it, let me be a consultant for ya, i would work cheap as in free just to see the animations and fights done justice….if i had the resources i would make it myself but unfortunately im having trouble comming up with 200+mil lol

thks for support guys, i have no idea where to even start on a script, my brain is constantly scrambled with ideas i cant articulate and i need to get them out or im gonna go crazy. anyone know anywhere to submit ideas to AAA quality directors? i would hate to see something like this end up being a B-C quality movie on syfy to fill a time slot 🙁

I agree. We need REAL dragons on screen.I liked Reign of Fire, but it needed more development.
