Where do you find scripts?

Question by Kari Grace: Where do you find scripts?
I am a member of our up-and-coming theatre guild in my community, and I was wondering where you could find hard copies of scripts for sale online. We would like to purchase just individual copies at first, so websites with a minimum purchase requirement aren’t for me.

We are considering plays like “High School Musical” and other youth musicals/plays.

Write or get on-line to Samuel French, a play distributor, in NY and LA, they will send you perusal copies and handle all royalty contracts. They have some musicals, though I don’t know who handles HSM. Tams-Witmark is another company; they do mainly musicals. I was never one for looking for “juvenile” literature. My students (HS) performed The Good Doctor, Love Letters, Elephan Man, Flowers for Algernon, 12 Angry Men, and, musically, Godspell, Working, Little Shop and Charlie Brown. Shakespeare and Our Town are next.
