Production companies don’t accept unsolicited scripts, so you’ll need an agent. Unfortunately, agents don’t accept them either (at least really good ones that the studios deal with). Try joining Shootingpeople.org They have an on-line script pitch once a month that producers actually look at. You might also submit your screenplay to a few of the many script competitions. Slam Dance has a good one. Don’t worry about plagiarism. It’s really rare. The best way to guard against it is to have your scripts copyrighted ($ 20 at the US copyright office) and send them out to as many people as possible so that they exist fully in the marketplace.
