which digital camera/camcorder is best for making “movies”?

Question by matt b: which digital camera/camcorder is best for making “movies”?
I’m looking for a dig. camera/ camcorder that does 16:9 widescreen HD with a 30 fps. i also read bout that option that takes pictures every 2-6 seconds and streams it into a video. that feature would be nice. anyone know any one that can do this?

The best way is to buy an actual camcorder and use it to make videos and use your P&S or DSLR for taking still images.

The two DSLR’s that shoot videos are high end and can make some amazing videos, but do not have a 16:9 image ratio available.

You can look here for some P&S cameras that can shoot video, but still will no have the “wide-screen” 16:9 image ratio http://www.dpreview.com
