I just bought a Sony HDR XR200V video camera to make movie like videos, but I just saw a similar camera by canon(Vixia hg 21 HD) that has a 24mbps. Its said to be good for making movies. I have a HP desktop comp. Should i return and get the Canon instead? Please let me know what video editing software is best for movies too. thnks in advance.

Many camcorders will shoot at 24F but not all editing programs will process that rate for the final project (to DVD). In Adobe Premiere Elements 8 for example, doesn’t offer a 25F option and will default to 30F. There is some talk in many user forums about either CODEC fixes for that but many opt for the full pro editing versions like Final Cut Pro or Premiere Pro for working for the 25F.
