Question by California resident: why are people (catholics) making such a big deal about this golden comass movie/books?
ok i know some of you hard-core catholics are going to bash me for saying this but i am one of those people (forget what you call them,so if anyone could refresh my memory that would be helpful)that could careless if there is or isn’t a god,and i am not going to waste my life like some people trying to prove if god exists or not.to me i just want to live,i know what is right and what is wrong,but i don’t need any religion telling me what i need to believe in or what i have to to to make it to that special place.but back to my question,why are all these cathlics and the catholic church making this into a big deal.i mean if they don’t want any catholic to read it then don’t make so much publicity.otherwise people are going to be curious and read it or see the movie.having read and liked the books i can’t see where it is telling kids to become atheists like some of these people say.so what is the big issue here?should it really be banned just because catholics say it should be banned?
i mean i was raised a catholic (i am 17)but i don’t consider myself one.(oh yeah and my parents don’t know this)so should those who aren’t catholics suffer by having this movie banned?should the catholics who don’t care if they or their children see this suffer?who is it to say that tis movie shall be banned?
i know all about the harry potter thing,and i didn’t get that either beside him being a wizard.man,that is going to condemn my soul to hell because i have read and watched all those movies.i mean all it was about was this wizard who tries to defeat the evil wizard voldemort
