Question by joe kotulak: Why do people believe it’s still possible that new stars can be created?
That’s the problem with wrestling nowadays there will never again be that Michael Jordan of wrestling. No matter what WWE does they will never create anything imaginably close to the stars of the past. They have various problems:
1.) They chose to rebuild too early starting in 2004.
2.) They need to hire much better talent evaluators. Take Too Cool for example, the talent evaluators back then turned them from a bunch of boring jobbers into good entertainers.
3.) The catch phrases for the new stars are not well thought out and lack creativity.
4.) They don’t sell promos well. They need guys who can not only wrestle but speak like we actually feel this isn’t something scripted even though we know that it is. Just watch the promo where Jim ross conducts an interview with heel Steve Austin and Austin beats the hell out of him and tell me how people who first watched that actually believed that it was scripted.
5.) They have too many young guys and not enough of a good mixture of young and old.

i totally agree for the most part, exept for the #1, i think it started before 2004.
also, i think too much time is focused on promos and not wrestling. kina like the south park episode where the kids make a wrestling brand, but all they do is promo and storyline. when they finally wrestle, the fans leave and say “this is fake”. so funny hahah
