The other day I was talking to a co student of mine about my interest and like for the movie series Twilight, and he went on a somewhat playfully insulted me about that. Now in no means did I take that as a direct insult, but I have read things that are very similar. So what If I like movie, why shouldn’t I, it’s a good movie. And a multimillion dollar making movie.

The fact that a movie makes a lot of money doesn’t mean that it’s a good movie. It means that a bunch of tasteless people shelled out a lot of cash to see a movie adaptation of a book that is by no means well-written but for some reason became hugely popular. I watched the first movie. It was well made as far as visuals go, but the whole conceptual aspect of the film (read: the entire premise of the story) was beyond annoying. The tagline for these movies should read: Softcore Emo Vampire Porn.
