Why does it take so many companies to make a movie nowadays?
Question by AmigaJoe: Why does it take so many companies to make a movie nowadays?
Used to be it would just say ‘Paramount’ or ‘Dimension’ etc. Now it seems like every movie I see has 5 or 6 different companies intro’d at the beginning. What do they all do?

If the movie costs a lot of money then they get together and put in a joint venture. That way the studios won’t go bankrupt and it cuts their costs but ithey still make a profit if the movie doesn’t flop. If it does, they can write it off as a tax loss for the financial year.
