Why is it that only the so called Hollywood stars make the headlines?

Question by DanBoy: Why is it that only the so called Hollywood stars make the headlines?
Tabloids, newpapers, internet, etc. When there are a lot more interesting people, Hero’s, Mom’s, Dad’s and one’s who do a lot more for each other & society than make a flipin’ movie or sing a song? It would be a lot more interesting to see them than seeing a flipin’ person who has too much money and gets in too much trouble! They can’t even seem to keep their marriage together much less themselves. I’m a artist myself, but I praise the people who are in the trenches everyday making a difference in a good way. We need new Tabloids & Magazines. Give me something interesting to read!

In the United States, the media is one of the highest paid job, from acting to singing. This proves that Americans put their value more on watching tv. The media earns less money in other places like Hong Kong. An average actor earns less money than an architect.
